“When travel came to nearly a full stop in 2020, it gave us
an unexpected runway to think about the future of business travel,” says Steve
Hafner, Kayak CEO.
“Business travelers and their employers in a post-COVID
world will demand even more flexibility, competitive prices and easy ways to
blend business and leisure travel.”
Kayak says in the last few months the product has been
updated to offer expense integration, price prediction and discounted corporate
rates. The company says “Kayak for Business brings the leisure travel experience
to the outdated interface of the corporate travel world...”
In partnership with research firm YouGov, Kayak conducted a survey
of 1,400 U.S. consumers that found 58% think business travel is back or will be
back by the end of 2021 and one-quarter of American business travelers want a job
where they can travel for work.
