Dtravel, a
peer-to-peer vacation rental ecosystem built on decentralized, blockchain
technology, has integrated its artificial intelligence agent into Fetch.ai’s agent marketplace.
Fetch.ai has created infrastructure technology to help businesses
build, deploy and monetize AI applications.
Through this partnership, Dtravel’s AI vacation rental
discovery agent is available in Fetch.ai’s marketplace so developers can access
it for integration into apps or bundle it with other agents to create an
end-to-end travel experience.
Dtravel has also joined the Fetch.ai Foundation, which is
focused on research and development of AI, Web3 and multi-agent technologies.

"By integrating DtravelAI into the Fetch.ai developer
marketplace and welcoming Dtravel into the Fetch.ai Foundation, we are forging
a path toward a decentralized, AI-powered future for the travel industry,” said
Maria Minaricova, director of business development at Fetch.ai.
“This collaboration showcases our commitment to leveraging AI to create
innovative, personalized travel experiences that put control back into the
hands of travelers. Together, we are taking a significant step toward a more
efficient, intelligent, and user-centric travel ecosystem, catalyzing the
future of AI app development and driving the growth of an AI economy powered by
intelligent agents."
Dtravel is the first travel company to join the foundation
and said it will lead efforts to attract projects and companies focused on
building innovative travel solutions using AI agents and merging AI and blockchain
for to personalize the travel experience.
"Travel is an area that stands to benefit hugely from AI and it requires a
two pronged approach to be successful - the first is developing the technology
and second, and most importantly, creating an ethical framework for
collecting and using data that will power these agents," said Cynthia
Huang, CEO of Dtravel.
"Joining the Fetch.ai Foundation, a leading company who has already spent
many years thinking and working on both of these areas, will allow us to
collaborate with world class AI projects to be thoughtful and deliberate about
these important topics."
In January Dtravel
began working with blockchain technology provider Polygon to turn all
bookings into non-fungible tokens (NFTs) so users can easily transfer or resell
their bookings in Dtravel’s marketplace.
