There is yet to be a definitive playbook for loyalty in vacation rentals.
While the sector is not new by any means, brands are still unsure of the best way to gain loyalty from their guests and ensure they have the attention of travelers every time they consider a new trip.
Part of this is down to infrequent purchases that have an impact on any form of leisure travel - also, platforms such as Airbnb have (perhaps inadvertently) adopted the idea that the brand itself is where the loyalty manifests itself.
But other ideas are now beginning to emerge as to the best ways of securing loyalty and attracting repeat bookings from guests.
Vanessa de Souza Lage, co-founder and chief marketing officer at Rentals United, and Scott Shatford, CEO at AirDNA, speak to PhocusWire's Jill Menze about the opportunities and challenges that present themselves for the sector.
They appeared as part of the PhocusWire Pulse: Loyalty For The Long Haul event on March 23, 2021.
