Raus, a platform for nature-based stays, has added €3 million in funding, doubling its investment to date to more than €6 million.
Investors including Airbnb co-founder Nathan Blecharczyk, Speedinvest and NFQ Capital contributed to the funding, which was led by 10X Founders.
The Germany-based startup is also unveiling a new category, Raus Lodge, which is targeting families, groups and companies with accommodation for up to 12 people.
Julian Trautwein, co-founder and CEO of Raus, says: “It is fantastic that we were able to attract such first-class investors to Raus again and that our existing investors have once more increased their commitment. With Raus, we want to create a unique experience platform and bring people back to nature on a regular basis. The new financing will help us to expand further and accelerate the development of our platform for nature immersion at the same time. We are proud to promote environmentally conscious, local tourism that benefits the economies on site while helping agricultural businesses to put their unused land to good use, generating significant additional income."
The company, which launched in October 2021, has received more than 2,000 guests and has location near Berlin, Hamburg, Leipzig, Dresden and Hannover.
Felix Haas, partner at 10X Founders, says: “We are impressed with Raus' strategy, performance and consistent expansion. In a short period of time, the team has managed to shape a true love brand, which is confirmed by the consistently high occupancy rates and an engaged social community. Demand is clearly shifting away from traditional, standardized stays to extraordinary experiences and Raus offers a new, sustainable concept with a positive impact.”
