Misterb&b, an LGBTQ+-centric travel accommodation and
experience booking platform, is adding a new social network to its app.
Known as Weere, the service is intended to help LGBTQ+ travelers meet
one another and also meet locals in destinations they are visiting.
And since 70% of Misterb&b’s users are solo travelers, the
company said Weere will enable them to plan shared trips and split costs.

“Misterb&b's mission is deeply rooted in the belief that every
LGBTQ+ individual deserves a sense of belonging, especially when faced with the isolation and loneliness
that can be so prevalent in our community,” said Matthieu Jost, co-founder of Misterb&b.
“With the introduction of Weere, our goal is to create a vibrant
community that not only connects LGBTQ+ travelers worldwide, but also provides a sanctuary
where they can find solace, forge lasting friendships and create cherished memories together,
ensuring no one feels alone on their journey.”
Founded in 2014, Misterb&b provides more than one million
listings of LGBTA+-owned rooms and apartments as well as LGBTQ+-friendly hotels.
In January Expedia
Group announced Misterb&b is one of the startups in its inaugural Open
World Accelerator program.
